About Me & Sewing

As a child I would sit for hours and cut up any old material to hand sew dress's for my dolls and Barbie's, I loved nothing more and had quite good skills for a child. Also in secondary school my love for textiles and sewing continued and I always excelled at the practical side of it.

I have been pursuing my love of fashion, textiles and sewing for about four years now, it all started very small, with a loving gesture and gift that changed the course of my life, "A Sewing Machine" bought for my birthday, and a fierce fire and desire to make "STUFF" and I had no idea what stuff? I just knew I wanted to remember how to use the machine and make anything and everything! The first thing I made was a reversible bag without a pattern or any know how only my basic rusty decade or so old skills. It was a long and tiresome night but needless to say the bag turned out so well that I carried on teaching myself until I could start studying...

 

I have now obtained the following Qualifications in Fashion -

       Gateway L2 Skills inthe Fashion Industry        

       Gateway L3 into the Fashion Industries (QFC)
